The game's first edition is currently in development
The game currently comes as dozens of PDFs that are organized and packaged into a 200MB ZIP file. These files include the Game Guide; the Character, NPC, and Anomaly sheets; premade anomalies; premade NPCs, and premade maps. At this point, most of the game is finished, though some changes to mechanics are still being made.
The Player Guide is just what it sounds like: An essential guide that includes all of the game's fundamental mechanics, as well as a basic overview of the lore of the SCP universe.
The Overseer Guide is a guide for the game master, or in Fear in the Foundation's case, the Overseer. It covers all the things a person would need to know to run a game.
Originally, I wanted to combine the game's over 200 premade anomalies into three distinct guides: The Anomalous Entities Guide, the Anomalous Objects & Phenomena Guide, and the Anomalous Items Guide. Given how extensive anomaly sheets are, moving over a hundred of them into one distinct guide simply makes them harder to organize and read. For this reason, I've decided to leave each sheet in into own separate folder, at least for now.
The guides will initially only be released as PDFs, and will be available here on the website. Physical copies may eventually be a possibility, with some hard work, along with a little Kickstarter.
The International Expansion will be released shortly after the game's first edition
This expansion will include a number of things, such as:
- At least 5 anomalies from each of the SCP Wiki's 18 international branches. So at least 90 new anomalies
- Exploration and Re-Containment Missions featuring a few anomalies from the international branches
- A list of some of the major Groups of Interest from all the international sites
- Premade NPCs from the international sites, including from international Groups of Interest
Once the first edition is out, I'll start working on supplements that add new content to the game
The supplements will involve subjects like:
- The Broken Masquerade
- SCP-5000: Why?
- Deer College
- The Sarkic Cults
- The Global Occult Coalition
Thanks for all of your support!
